There is another echo on the fixture admin page when enterin scores for league games

I saw that yesterday (the echo of the sql statement I assume?) but can't find it's source :/

how about having a list of the matches that you have already played in on the home page of your account?

the tourney system seems to have a few ghosts in the closet

Zoro is doing some amazing match fixing. played 2 lost 2 and has 15 points......hmmmmm v strange indeed.

There is one already - albeit not on the home page. Just click the Tournament in question and scroll to the bottom of the page - there's a history of all matches played.
One on your home page would be nice also...

screw: i noticed the "full history" but i thought it would be better to have a list of the matches that YOU have participated in only and not EVERYONE. but if you wanted to see everyone, then you could navigate to the specific tournament instead. plus there is already a list of matches on the home page that you are supposed to play in so if you were to match that with your own personal history i think it would be good.

Yes, do agree that a "Played" history along with the matches to be played would be nice - I'll mention it to Zoro (then run away - rapidly!)

It wouldn't be too hard to do I'll have it ready tomorrow, ut to have all that infor on the account page is prpbably too much. you'be going looking at all that info.

I'll have put together a seperate page for fixtures and we see how it looks.

On another note I'm looking into the seeding system.
For leagues I'm thinking about having a handicap per player. the idea is that if a player wins a tourney their handicap goes up 1 point. This then means that if the tourney is first to 10 then they have to win with 11. Hows does that sound etc.....it might get messy but we'll see.

For Single elim the seeding system will be simple. players will be ranked from the last torurney they played in and that will be the seed.

should I bother or is it a good idea?

Seeding I would definately go for.
Handicaps I'm not so sure about - some feedback from other players might be useful here - but how about if each "handicap" point was added to the opposition's initial score?

Yeah, I agree with Screw, the seeding is a good idea, and the handicaps should be added to the opposition's score, to make it more fair... Unless that person also has a handicap, which could sort of cancel it out, if you catch my drift? So if you had one person with handicap of -5 and another with -4, the -4 person would only get 1 extra point, instead of them both only needing 5/6 points to win (at 10 points to win)... If that makes sense...

put that T_ in there will ya zoro , the cuplrit is somthing like "Select Count(*) from tournemen".

On another note. The tournement site is holding togetther well now apart from one major issue with the single emlimination score admin of fixtures.


I suggest we hold our first offical tournement soon.

One more thing, ^^^^^ ginja, you can't spell tournAment!

Ginja: Admin editing of the single elim. matches that change the winner of the game is half working.
The winner is set to the new winner, but the old fixture (between the old winner and the next opponent) isn't deleted

See the screwball-v-lyra insta 1v1 match, that should've been deleted, but it wasn't

Yep it's only a temporary fix. But basically it works. You've got to go and now delete the ScrewballVLyra Fixture and all will be well again.

Was it not screwball v demon?

As requested by some people I've been busy updating the tourney system.
THe code is reading to be uploaded so it's nearly there.

You will now be able to challenge other teams/players to matches. These are single game events and have to be accepted by the team/player being challenged. You can also decline a challenge if ya don't want to.

You challenge a a player by viewing their account and clicking challenge player, same goes for Teams. Only similar teams can challenge each other, ie a 3 player team can't challenge a 2 player team etc....
Sure when it's up there play around with it and see how it goes.

sweetness. how about the same idea that they have on clanbase, that you can only decline a challenge from a player once and then its up to you to arrange a rematch or something or is that too much too soon

Ah man I'll leave it for a while. Took alot of brain activity to get this to work and I'm all drained out. + I want top get backt to actually playing UT. this challegen thing took up alot of my time. But it's nice, it even send PMs to people you've challenged........
