Global Agenda
Thought its about time for a thread since this is being released soon.

Trailers:
- No Elves
- Official

Its a futuristic 3PS/FPS MMO based on UE3 i think. Theres 2 ways to buy it as well; you can buy the normal game and you get gameplay similar to L4D - a 4 player co-op PvE. Theres a lower scale non-subscription based PvP element to the game as well.

If you like the game, you can choose to upgrade to their pay per month system which gives you access to the their changing world, large scale battles, auction house, craftable weapons and other MMO type things.

Its not "Truly" MMO, since the battles are limited to whatever instanced sizes are; it used to be 64v64 or 128v128 i cant remember.

For those of you that played and liked planetside this might be the closest thing to that.

Ill probably be getting the normal game first playing through the co-op stuff and then ill decide if i upgrade it.

Quote:

* Create your agent - Create, customize, and develop multiple agent characters, complementing your FPS skills with accessible RPG-style progression. Unlock weaponry and cutting edge devices including jetpacks, grenade launchers, mines, deployable turrets, stealth suits, holographic decoys, robotic droids and HUNDREDS of others.
* Co-Op with friends online - Four players share the same online mission experience - working as a team, communicating via built-in text and voice chat, infiltrating facilities, defeating end bosses, and earning technology upgrades.
* Compete in fast-paced, multiplayer matches - Teamwork and tactics are paramount within objective-based game types designed from the ground up to support intense and balanced player vs. player combat.

Anyone else interested in buying it?

4 of the normal game. The normal game consists of 4 player PvE co-op and an unknown number of people PvP (Im assuming its like L4D with a 4v4 PvP aspect without dedicated servers - not 100% on that though)

It comes with the month of february with free access to the MMO side. If you like it, you can choose to subscribe to the MMO side from March onwards which obviously takes place on their servers with ~64v64 PvP.

tl;dr version: 4 pack comes with 4xNormal games similar to the L4D PvE co-op & PvP

Well the original game attracted me because it said MMOFPS and considering its on the UE3 engine there might be a first person viewpoint.

I hope there is also

Looks like there isnt

Global Agenda has elements of an FPS because our in-mission game play is very action-oriented and as fluid as a multiplayer online shooter.

* Global Agenda is technically a third person shooter. Your character jetpacks to rooftops, grapples onto ledges, engages in melee combat, and darts behind cover to evade rocket fire and we've implemented a third-person camera to provide players the best view of their surroundings.

Elements of a typical MMO that are NOT in Global Agenda:

* a large, seamless world to explore
* quest givers
* open world PvP or PvE
* elves

Why didnt they just say MMO3PS instead of FPS, fucking dolts

Do not buy Global Agenda. It is fucking terrible.

- The interfaces were designed by a 12 year old
- The graphics are from 1995
- The skill trees are a joke
- The MMO side; auction house - is non existant
- The class variation is little to none. There are only a few skills per class (also see: skill trees)
- The variation in weapons and armor is non existant
- The PvE is like a long, boring training mission
- The PvP is the same old crap over.. and over.. and over..

I am absolutely disgusted with the quality of this game. If you have ever played a free MMO like silkroad or RF online - this game is worse than them. People wonder why games are downloaded instead of bought and the industry complains about pirating - the fact this game even cost money; never mind is going to be a pay to play game is why people probably pirate games.

40 euro down the drain

/edit btw its basically TF2 but shit, go buy TF2 if you were thinking of GA and youll get a better game

Huxley is being developed by koreans. KOREANS BRIAN. Remember RF online?

02 Feb 2010 - 17:2393025
Well then it will most likely be closer to an MMO than GA.
