Teamspeak Setup Tutorial

Teamspeak runs in the background and allows users to speak to each other while in a game.
All you need is a mic, and a server to point it at. We use teamspeak for teamplay games, but it's also great during tournaments for spectators to get together and slag off the players. Details of the server we use are below. Spectators usually hang out in the Main Channel, while each player is sent off to the Blue or Red Channel as appropriate. This way, Refs can pop in to speak to the player when needed, and players aren't distracted by the mutterings of the spectators. Download Teamspeak 2 here.

This is of course dependant on the type of Tourney, so if it's just for a laugh, it can be fun to all gather and slag other players (can be quite theraputic if you've done badly yourself ;o))

Server: www.unreal.ie (or 193.120.123.142:8767 if that doesn't get you in)
Server password: UIE (case sensitive)
Default Channel: Clan members should put the name of their clan channel in here, all other users should leave this blank - this will put you in the "Lobby" from where you can choose which channel you want without disturbing other users.

Tip for UIE Members: Set up keyboard shortcuts to allow you to switch channel without Alt-Tabbing from the game. Log onto the server and join the UIE Channel. Go to Settings -> Key Settings and click Add. Set the key combination you want (one key at a time), then choose the actions to go with it: Switch To -> Channel -> Pick the channel.
Suggested Key combos are: - Ctrl-Alt-R: Red Team Channel - Ctrl-Alt-B: Blue Team Channel - Ctrl-Alt-U: Main UIE Channel
Tip: Some people have noted that it's best to start TS before running UT to ensure correct operation of shortcut combos. Just in case you run into any difficulties, we recommend you do this.
